Office Assistant

Christiane Barth is the Office Assistant for the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), which comprises the 26 utilities that purchase water from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) for resale to their local service areas. BAWSCA represents its members’ collective interests in their relationship with the SFPUC on matters related to water supply, facility reliability, operations, water quality and wholesale water rates.


Ms. Barth reports to the Office Manager and supports the day-to-day operations of BAWSCA, including management of incoming calls, arrangement of meeting facilities, coordination of general office maintenance needs, and providing support for BAWSCA’s senior staff and executive administrative assistant on various projects and duties as assigned.


Ms. Barth assists with the preparation, assembly, and distribution of required meeting agenda materials for board and committee meetings ,maintains and distributes the calendar of meetings, schedules agency events, and composes or edits correspondence and reports as needed. In addition, Ms. Barth assists with implementation of BAWSCA’s multiple regional water conservation programs and provides information regarding BAWSCA’s rebate programs to customers.


Christiane recently joined BAWSCA in Spring 2019. Previously, she worked in the legal field, fitness industry, tech industry and with non-profits. She earned a BA from the University of Southern California and a Paralegal Certificate from the University of San Diego. She lives in San Mateo with her husband.
