Leslie Marden Ragsdale was appointed by the Town of Hillsborough to the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency for a term beginning in July 2023. Hillsborough is a single-family residential community. The Town owns and operates its own water utility and provides water to residents and portions of unincorporated San Mateo County.
Ms. Ragsdale was appointed to the City Council of Hillsborough in 2022. Prior to that, she was a member of the Town’s Citizens Communications Advisory Commission.
Ms. Ragsdale also volunteers with the Hillsborough Auxiliary to Peninsula Family Service (President for 2023-24 year) and Burlingame Women’s Club and volunteered for her four children’s schools and extracurricular activities since 2001. Her roles included Hillsborough Schools Foundation President, Crystal Springs Uplands School Parent Association Co-VP, Franklin Elementary School PTA Co-President, Hillsborough AYSO Registrar and producer for many Pied Piper Players productions.
Ms. Ragsdale is a graduate of Duke University and Yale Law School and practiced briefly with Latham & Watkins and PricewaterhouseCoopers after a year clerking for the Chief Judge of the United States District Court in Hawaii.
