Peter Stevenson was appointed by the City of Burlingame to the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency effective July 1, 2023. The city’s water system serves the entire area within its city limits, plus portions of unincorporated Burlingame Hills and a few properties in San Mateo and Hillsborough.
Mr. Stevenson was first elected to the Burlingame City Council in November 2022 and currently serves on the Association of Bay Area Governments, Advanced Life Services JPA, Central County Fire Board, and Emergency Service Council. He is the Alternate for the South Bay Waste Management Authority, SFO Community Round Table, and Caltrain Modernization Policymaker Group.
Mr. Stevenson has lived in Burlingame for more than 30 years and has been actively involved in community efforts to expand programs in the public school system, driven fundraising efforts to support the Parks and Recreation Department; including the new Community Center, and coached youth sports programs for more than 15 years.
Mr. Stevenson received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, and his MBA and Masters’ degrees from Stanford University. He has worked in the technology space for more than 35 years, including co-founding a healthcare software company.
Mr. Stevenson is married with three kids, all who matriculated through the Burlingame public school system.
