Laura Davis was appointed by the San Bruno City Council to the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) in 2020. The City of San Bruno owns and operates its own utility, providing water to residential, commercial and light industrial customers in San Bruno and unincorporated areas of San Mateo County.


Ms. Davis was elected to the San Bruno City Council in November 2017 to serve a three year term.  She currently serves on a variety of regional and city committees; Airport Land Use Committee (ALUC), Airport Roundtable, Peninsula Clean Energy Advisory Committee (Alternate), Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance (Alternate). She also serves on the San Bruno Committees Recreation and Aquatics Ad-Hoc Committee and is the City Council liaison to the Traffic, Safety & Parking Committee and the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee.


Ms. Davis’ professional career includes 20 years with California Water Service supporting billing systems upgrades, and training and supporting the customer service department. In addition, she served 10 years as General Manager of Place Press International.


Ms. Davis was born and raised in San Bruno, attending local schools. Prior to being elected on the Council, she served on the Citizens Crime Prevention Committee and the Parks and Recreation Commission. Ms. Davis has a vested interest and passion for her community and improving the quality of life for all residents and businesses.
