Irrigation Controller Programing and Summer Irrigation

Instructor:  Shelkie Tao

Host:  Stanford University Water Resources

Are you interested in learning about your landscaping and to be more capable of understanding the technical details of a smart controller?

Spring is a good time to learn how weather-based controllers consider the local climate to irrigate efficiently. Having that reminder ahead of a summer irrigation season might be helpful to prevent customers from increasing their irrigation time unnecessarily in the shoulder months.

Topics include:

- what variables does the controller consider?

- cover seasonal irrigation needs of a Mediterranean climate

- information that can be shared with their gardeners

- a basic "how to" program controllers, perhaps focusing on the Rachio 3 controller

- a  basic overview of how to participate in the BAWSCA Rachio rebate program
